The Student Housing Foundation in Vaasa centralises maintenance to Are
The Student Housing organisation in Vaasa centralises maintenance of its real estates to Are Oy. According to the contract Are Oy takes care of the technical maintenance and maintenance of the technical building systems of VOAS estates. The arrangement will be executed as a transfer of a firm and one VOAS employee will transfer to Are.
VOAS is a significant real estate owner and developer in Vaasa. VOAS’s over hundred estates can accommodate 2685 residents. One in five students living in Vaasa lives in a VOAS apartment.
– We have developed the management of our estates during 2022 as it is included in our strategy. The result of our developmental work is to centralise the indoor maintenance of the apartments to Are. Are’s responsible way of working and their built-in culture of continuous development and openness were important factors in negotiations, says VOAS Executive Director Marko Ylimäki,
Are will take care of small repairs inside apartments and apartment checks after the tenant has moved out. There are approximately 1500 apartment checks annually.
